surprise

Philly, Dee and I planned a surprise baby shower for Jill recently. I lured her to the train station under the false assumption that she would be waiting with me for my friend from France (who was "visiting for the weekend") and then coming out for tea with us. We had everyone waiting inside the station when we arrived and she was really surprised!

We hopped the train to Ely (a nearby town, oddly baring the same name as the town where Jill was born in Minnesota), where we had afternoon tea at The Old Fire Engine House, a quaint tea shop and art gallery. We had a nice group of friends from various countries many of whom had never been to a baby shower before, and Jill got lots of nice presents to help her prepare for the baby's arrival! We had a really fun time. And now we wait.

Soyeon knit these booties for the baby in about 3 days!

Group shot.

Swinging in the garden out back.
